Apparently my priorities have changed...
I humbly come from the playmat to say hello. Things around here have definately been manageable, but moving. There's always something going on and I rarely think...wow, I'm so bored, I should really blog! Also, when you spend much of your time cooing at an infant, you start to believe that's the only language you speak! Alas, I'm here to say hello. :D
Last weekend was the annual Minneapolis trip with friends. Too much fun shopping and riding rollarcoasters. It's always the fastest weekend of the year. Siena did really well. She's the lucky kid that got to come along this year (it's generally a kidless event...unless you've got the nursing excuse). Spending so much time with daddy and her extra aunties was a real treat for her.
On to this weekend...Last night was Stewy's Wilco concert. For those who know the band, you apparently missed an incredible concert. S2 even bought our little girl a Wilco onesie. Who knew they made those? My goodness! Siena and I spent the time with auntie T and auntie Jen. We went in on Friday and I got my Christmas present haircut. Yup, it's short. I always promised myself I wouldn't do the old, "Get married, cut your hair off" or "Have a baby, cut your hair short." Apparently I wasn't thinking straight because I didn't even think twice about it! I like it, but it's a big change. Must tell my MIL before she sees me. She needs a warning about these things! :D
The little girl is smiling like crazy and even laughing in between. It's a heart-melting moment, let me assure you! She has learned to roll over (very fun and yet inconvenient for mom!) and is babbling like crazy. She has a very intense gaze. If you have her attention, you know it! I would just love to know what she's thinking as she stares into your eyes. It's almost as though she's going to jump into the conversation.
Must find some more pictures...
